About Manta Divers
Manta Divers is branch 0953 of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) – the largest diving club in the world and the governing body for the sport in the UK.
We are a diving club for people who want to go diving in this country, and have almost 100 members within the club.
The Club meets every wednesday evening between 8:30 - 10:30 at Tooting Leisure Centre followed by a brief socialise in "The Castle" Public house. So if your interested in diving, want to crossover, or would just like to talk through diving or Manta - Pop down on a wednesday and talk to us ! You'll always find someone happy to talk about the club and diving! (Tho I'd recomend coming down to TLC unless you can cope with divers comparing the size of their bubbles!
The BSAC was born as a club for divers, and remains so today - in fact, it's the biggest diving club in the world.
BSAC Branches are the foundation on which it has built its reputation. By making diving accessible and affordable the Club has helped many thousands of people each year to take up diving, many of them making it a continuing passion. Many BSAC Branches are well equipped, with a stock of equipment for training and even their own powerful boats, giving them access to interesting and adventurous diving. They are also able to offer advanced training to the higher diving grades and advanced diving skills via Skill Development Courses organised either locally or regionally.

Manta divers have been based within Tooting Leisure Centre for over 15 years. We’re part of the British sub-aqua club, the sports governing body. The club is 28 years young!

Manta has over 50 members, actively diving in and around the UK. Our members range from novice through to Advanced Instructors.

Manta has 12 sets of scuba kit, to loan out when were teaching, or for members to hire. We have oxygen therapy kits, gas blending sets, and the biggest bestest RIB. A 6m Humber, with 115hp engine, equipped to the latest safety spec. We can use the boat for teaching and dive trips.

This year alone Manta have been away diving in Plymouth, Lyme Bay, Brighton, Wales, Cornwall, and several trips on our own boat. We’re ending this season with a large trip to the Scilly Isles.
