The Blue Hole

A massive archway of rock surrounds the Blue Hole at water level and protects the hole from the outer sea. Big swell can make this an interesting dive if you've ever wondered what it's like to sit in a washing machine on "heavy soil". Otherwise, really easy entry is possible after hauling your gear over the rocks.

Recce the route first, and take your weight belt with you. Then kit up at the jeep and walk down to the hole. Sit on the edge of the hole for checks. Drop down and down until you see the entrance to a large cave at 20m, leave it for later. Look back to see the arch before heading south(ish) along the massive boulders at the base of the cliff (25m-30m).

At the cleft, climb to 18m and find the entrance to the Chimney (I'm sure this used to be called Crack Cave). Follow it through and out into the open water at about 8m. Then return! If you don't, you will surface outside of the hole.

Head back to the cave and check it out. Inside you will find various floating rubbish pinned against the roof of the cave. Take care not to distub the silt!
